Step 2: Acquire the IIBA membership and apply for the CBAP exam online for a total cost of $495.
Step 3: Upon passing the exam, you will be awarded the CBAP certification from IIBA.

No, the exam cost is not included with the course fees, but you will receive 21 CDUs that make you eligible to take the CBAP exam offered by IIBA

CBAP Exam fee structure

The application fee is $145 and is non-refundable (i.e., regardless of whether your application is approved or declined).
The CBAP exam fee is $350 for IIBA® members and $450 for non-members.

  • The CBAP questions are scenario-based (~65-70%) and case study based (~30-35%).
  • Case study based are longer cases (1-1.5 pages) of information with multiple questions about the case 3 to 5 questions each
  • The exam assesses the candidate’s practical application of the defined competencies for this level 3 certification in the IIBA Certification Framework. The current CBAP exam pattern is based on v3.0 of the BABOK Guide

To earn the CBAP® Certification, you must meet the following criteria:

Education: Undergraduate Degree or a High School Diploma.
BA Experience:  Minimum of 7500 hours of work experience in the last 10 years
Knowledge Area: 900+ hours in at least4 of the 6 core BABOK® Knowledge Areas 
Professional Development: 21 Hours in past 4 Years
References: Two references from a career manager, client, or a CBAP®

We offer CBAP Exam Prep classes throughout the year. There are self-learning courses and online classroom training available as well. IIBA® does not provide any classes or training.

IIBA® members receive a complimentary copy of the BABOK® Guide Version 3 PDF. If you are an IIBA® member, you can download BABOK® Version 3 for your reference from the IIBA® website. Non-members can purchase a copy of the BABOK® Guide Version 3 PDF for $29.95.

However, we will also help you with a copy of BABOK 1 week before the training.

The BABOK® Guide is the ideal resource and provides all the reference materials. We also recommend going through our CBAP Certification course materials, which are highly exam focused.
